The World Is A Dark Place Without Faith

From my personal experience, I can confirm that the world is a dark place without faith. I am writing this because I feel so sad at the state of this world.

So much suffering and turmoil, there’s only so much a human heart can take and endure. If you don’t have faith, how are you able to carry all that weight?

Now, faith can mean different thing to every individual. But according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, faith means the belief and trust in and loyalty to God

I used to believe that there is no God. But I was coming from a place where I lacked hope and love for myself. Full of pride and arrogance, I thought I was way more intelligent and unique than most people.

Especially those who had faith.

When in reality, I secretly envied those who stand firm in their own faith. Truly, the world is a dark place without faith.

To the person reading this right now, have you ever thought to yourself that maybe God isn’t real? Have you been an atheist in your life?

And if so, why? What circumstances in your life led you to come to that belief? Feel free to let me know in the comments below 🙂

Faith Is Not About Perfunctory Religion

Most people, especially those without faith, tend to associate faith with religion. I personally think, in my honest opinion, that religion separates you further away from building a closer, personal relationship with God.

What do I mean by perfunctory religion?

According to Your Dictionary, the definition of perfunctory means that something is done in a routine manner, without much care or attention.

When we combine the 2 words together, Toddpylant.com explains perfunctory religion perfectly. It basically means a religious activity void of genuine devotion to God.

Does it ring any familiar bell to you?

I know I do. I know people who are so committed to do their religious activity for the sake of it. These people makes it seem like a chore or a duty that they aren’t enthusiastic about.

When it comes to these religious people that are so obsessed with performing religious activity to their God, often times you don’t see them radiating or glowing.

On the other hand, you can definitely tell the difference between those who builds a genuine, personal relationship with God versus those that religious….for the sake of it. Because you ‘have to’.

Which is why I became an Atheist at such a young age.

Now, I am NOT judging anybody on whether they are perfunctory religious or genuinely devoted to God. I am merely stating facts from my own personal observations.

You don’t have to take my word for it. Just open your eyes and see it for yourself.

From here, I want to highlight the importance of truly building a relationship with God which will then strengthen your faith in Him.

Anyways, because I was brought up in a family that was religious but still had 0 connections with God, I became an Atheist.

It just didn’t make sense to me. I don’t buy any of the organized religion crap at all.

At a young age, I have always observed that there are people who believe in God and have to tell other people about it.

There are also people who become religious to impress others. Truly, I tell you, I HAVE SEEN IT ALL. Because of this, I thought to myself that if people are this BAD and FAKE to one another especially to themselves yet they are so religious, then maybe God doesn’t exist after all.

Instead of Love, There Was GENUINE Hatred

To add more fuel to the fire, I was brought up in a religious family that HATED other religions. They said other people from other religions are bad people and told me to stay away from them.

Obviously, all of these don’t add up. Being an Atheist was a more rational choice for me.

However, as years go by, and when I hit puberty and grow up, the world became a dark place for me. What was once full of rainbows, sunshine and cute butterflies became a horrible place.

I started watching the news and unknowingly allowed myself to be conditioned by the mass media.

Everyone around me started to realize the dark reality of this world and in turn have a very nihilistic view of the world.

At this point, I had 0 faith. Nothing. I didn’t have any belief in ANYTHING.

I knew everything about the Freemasons and the evil men (or rather demons) ruling this world. The banks, corporations, blablabla. You get it.

But where do I go from here?

My mind was already very skeptical of everything. I stayed away from organized religion because I understood that it separates people more than getting them closer to God.

So, where do I go? Surely, there is more to life than all this madness.

And surely, there are no coincidences in this world. Everything is planned and orchestrated. Problems are manufactured by man and solutions are also presented from the same people who created these problems in the first place to add more control and order to the masses.

And? So? Where exactly do I go from here?

As I matured, I decided to improve my own life. Now, everywhere you go you will see people and media advertising ‘LOVE YOURSELF. SELF-LOVE. SELF-HELP. FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS. POWER WITHIN YOU.’

So of course, I jumped on board the self-improvement and positivity movement. But no matter what I do, and no matter how much confidence and faith I have in MYSELF, I still felt empty.

They tell you that you can choose to co-create your reality with the Universe and use your mind to get what you want etc.

I followed these things and whatever these gurus, experts and mentors taught me, but still, the world is a dark place.

I had NO PEACE within me. Always felt like I have to monitor my thoughts and what I say so that I only manifest good people, things and situations in my life.

It may sound good on the surface but it is very empty. A sad, unfulfilling life always chasing after something that is meaningless because we will all perish one day and can’t take a single penny with us to our grave.

If you actually read the Bible (I like to call it the Word of God), you will know that EVERYTHING that we do under the sun is ultimately meaningless.

Ecclesiastes 1:2-3

“…Everything is meaningless! What do people gain from all their labors at which they toil under the sun?”

Ecclesiastes 9:2-3

“All share a common destiny — the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not.

“….The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of people, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterward they join the dead”

So, since everything is meaningless, does that mean we can just DO WHATEVER WE WANT just because we are all going to turn to dust, anyway?

Not so fast. Read this following Bible verse from Ecclesiastes that also mentions the solution to this ‘everything is meaningless’ problem.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

‘Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including EVERY hidden thing, whether it is good or evil’

What does this mean?

It basically means that life would be meaningless without faith in God. The world is truly a dark place without faith.

Whether you like it or not, the world is a very dark place. No matter how much positive thinking and shifting your reality or whatever that you do in your own limited human capability, it won’t change the state of the world.

Of course, you should not dwell in your negativity as well. It won’t do you good.

Rather, the only way is to seek God. Not just any God but through the ONLY Son of God, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”

It is only through GENUINE faith, building & strengthening your relationship with the LORD through Jesus Christ that you will be able to get through this dark place.

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us

Jesus Christ came for the sinners. We are all sinners and He was crucified, buried and then resurrected. Stop embracing sin and thinking that it is okay.

We are all slaves to something but the majority are a slave to their own sin.

Sin gives birth to BIGGER SINS and it goes on and on and on.

We have all broken the 10 commandments and no one is righteous. And that is okay as long as you admit it, and understand that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. Repent and ask for salvation. It is never too late.

If you are curious, here are similar blog posts that I have written on how Jesus Christ saved me before I went in too deep in the rabbit hole of the New Age movement.

Now, I have fully devoted my whole entire life to Jesus Christ. It is not easy and is a very narrow path to walk on that only VERY FEW people will find. But it is available to all.

With the power of the Holy Spirit, I was given ears and eyes to hear and see what is TRULY happening in this world. Truly, from my experience, the world is a dark place without faith.

God has given us the power of free will to choose. You either choose the world which is Satan’s kingdom or choose Christ. It is up to you.

And with that, may God bless you. Amen.
